Meet Spin..

An innovative tea kettle system with enhanced operativeness and more comfortability than any prior kettle on the market.

Spin was awarded in the tea kettle design competition sponsored by “World Kitchen”, endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (ISDA) as well as exhibited in the World Kitchen booth at the International Home Show in Chicago, March, 2009.

In the summer of 2014 Spin was exhibited at the Philadephia Museum of Art – the largest and most reputable museum in the US collecting and exhibiting work from leading contemporary, international designers and manufacturers.

So… Why is Spin so darn praiseworthy?

The initial challenge was to reinvent the conventional stove top tea kettle. Technology has been centered around optimizing the use of energy when heating water, choosing the desired temperature, maintaining it and using only the amount of water needed.

Focusing on usability, ergonomics and functionality, research revealed that the kettle concept has remained unchanged through time.

The concept

Traditionally until the Spin, the way to operate has included a vessel with a spout and handle. This original design triggered our idea of innovative functionality that can be applied to any kind of liquid container.

The concept is based on the idea of maintaining a stable gravity center. Basically, the design proposes a new way to pour liquid though enhanced ergonomics.

The innovation in the system lies in the operative, functional concept of rotating the container solely by sliding a switch, leaving wrist rotation or elbow lifting unnecessary. This allows the user to have more balance, be more in control and minimize effort while optimizing precision.

Ergonomically speaking it is simply a lot more user-friendly.
